Angels Over You. Psalm 91:11. Christian Contemporary Art

“For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.”
Psalm 91:11

God takes care of us, giving us safety and peace as we walk in His footsteps. This Psalm teaches us about the safety of abiding in the presence of God. God continually protects His children from the ever-present dangers and terrors that surround us. There is no danger that God is unable to handle- not one.

As followers of Jesus we can read this psalm and be encouraged to know that nothing can harm us unless the Lord permits it to happen. He has seen us through sickness and injuries, terrors and attacks. He is the refuge we need in these times, and the only true source of peace that we have in this world. I have never seen an angel, but I am comforted in knowing that these wonderful and majestic beings watch over me as they serve our Father in heaven.

The Sufferings Of This Present Time. Romans 8:18. Christian Modern Art

“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” Romans 8:18

The Bible never minimizes the sufferings or difficulties that believers will face in this life. It gives us encouragement by magnifying the rewards that accompany our faith in the Living God. Jesus himself endured terrible pain and agony, keeping His focus on the glory that awaited Him when He returned to be with God.

Life today is very difficult for many people throughout the world. As God’s children we know that we are only temporary visitors here as we live out our earthly lives. But remember our eternal destiny, and that it is written, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined the things that God has prepared for those who love him”.

Jesus spoke these words of instruction and expectation after he told the disciples about his forthcoming departure from this world. He Will Never Leave You. Deuteronomy 31:8. Christian Modern Art

“The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8

The power and strength of the Lord can be our confidence when we keep our eyes focused on Him, and not the treacherous mountains and dark valleys we encounter along the way.
